Habit tracking without the streak
A habit tracker that doesn’t punish you for missing a day.
A streak is a number that only knows how to die. Todayish keeps momentum instead — a score from 0 to 100, folded from every time a habit actually came due. Good days move it further than bad ones, and nothing you have built ever resets to zero.

Momentum, after a miss
One habit, three weeks of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Watch what the missed one actually costs.

A hit closes a quarter of the distance to 100. A miss costs 15% of what you have. The asymmetry is deliberate, and there is no zero to fall back to.
What makes it different
Three decisions, and everything else follows from them.
Todayish is a port of a habit tracker that has been used daily for years. These are the parts worth keeping.
- 01
Momentum, not streaks
Every time a habit comes due, the answer folds into one score between 0 and 100. Eight sessions carry you to 95. Missing one leaves you at 81 — still Solid, still yours. The score is always shown with its band word, so a number never has to be interpreted.
- 02
Cadences, not checkboxes
Almost nothing worth doing is a daily. Todayish asks how a habit really works — a window of days, a set of weekdays, dates in the month, or a count per cycle — and then leaves you alone until it is genuinely due. Today is a short list, on purpose.
- 03
Points, not guilt
Each habit is worth 1 to 12 points, built from its effort, its priority, and whether it makes you leave the house. Set a daily points goal and a day gets a shape: what you did, and what is still within reach. A quiet day is a small number, not a failure.
Four ways to be due
Say when the habit actually matters, then stop thinking about it.
A cadence is the rule the whole app reasons from — what shows up today, what counts as a miss, and how history is drawn.
Flexible range
Complete every 2–5 days.
A window rather than a date. Once you pass the far edge it is simply late, and it stays late until you do it — there is no missed day to feel bad about.
Weekly schedule
Complete every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Fixed weekdays. A skipped Wednesday is recorded as a missed Wednesday, and you can still open that day later and mark it done.
Monthly calendar
Complete on the 1st, 15th, and last day of every month.
Specific dates, including relative ones like the last day — which resolves correctly whether the month has 28 days or 31.
Custom cycle
Complete 3 times every 7 days.
A count per cycle. Which days you pick is your business; the cycle only cares that the count is met before it rolls over.
Where it runs
A web app that behaves like an installed one.
Nothing to download, nothing to keep updated, and no version of your history that only exists on one device.
Installs to your home screen
Todayish is a web app you can add to your home screen or dock from the browser. There is no app store listing and no iOS app — the same site is the app.
Works offline
Your whole dataset lives in the browser as well as on the server. On a plane or in a basement you can still tick things off; the changes queue up and flush when you are back.
Syncs across your devices
One account, phone and laptop. Both sides are offline-capable and converge on the same history, keyed by civil dates so a trip across timezones never rewrites last week.
Reminders, only if you ask
Optional web push, scheduled against the timezone on your account. Off until you turn it on, and off again the moment you turn it off.
Start today. Miss a day. Keep going.
Sign in with Google, add the first habit, and set a points goal you can hit on an ordinary Tuesday. Everything after that is one tap a day.
